1. Who provides the service

2. Booking and payment
- Bookings are made through the booking engine on this website or by email, and are confirmed once we receive the initial payment of 30 % of the rental amount. We send a confirmation by email with the booking number.
- The remaining amount is paid when the motorcycle is collected, or by bank transfer at least 3 days in advance.
- Payment methods: credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard) through the secure payment gateway on the website or at our premises, bank transfer, and cash at our premises.
- Prices include the applicable VAT. No additional handling fees are charged for card payments.
3. Security deposit
When the motorcycle is collected, the security deposit is blocked on the customer’s credit card. It matches the excess of the fully comprehensive insurance and depends on the motorcycle and the type of rental: €500 for individual rentals of touring motorcycles (Honda, BMW and Ducati), with the PLUS reduction insurance already included free of charge; €1,500 for group rentals of touring motorcycles, reducible to €500 with the optional PLUS insurance (€10/day on Honda, €15/day on BMW and Ducati) from 5 days; €1,000 for off-road motorcycles, reducible to €500 with the Honda Plus insurance of €10/day from 5 days; €500 for the 125 cc range, reducible to €250 with the same insurance; and €2,500 for the Honda Gold Wing and BMW K1600 GT, with no reduction insurance. Trips to Morocco and other special rentals always carry the full deposit (€1,000 Honda, €1,500 BMW and Ducati, €2,500 Gold Wing and K1600). The block is not a charge. When the motorcycle is returned, if there is no damage, the block is released immediately. If there is damage, it is assessed according to the criteria explained at handover and the amount is deducted from the deposit.
4. Booking cancellation (cancellation policy)
Yes, customers can cancel or postpone their booking at any time before the rental starts, under the conditions set out below.
We value our customers’ peace of mind and understand that circumstances can affect travel plans. Cancellations or postponements must be sent by email to pau@pautravelmoto.com quoting the booking number. The date that counts is the date the email is received.
- Up to 15 days before the start of the rental: cancellation or changes without penalty, with a refund of all amounts paid.
- Between 14 days and 72 hours before the start: a charge of 20 % of the rental amount.
- Less than 72 hours before the start: a charge of 30 % of the rental amount.
For any remaining amount after a cancellation or postponement, the customer may choose between:
- using it for a future motorcycle rental, or transferring it to a person of their choice for another rental, or
- a refund of the amounts paid, less bank charges.
Extensions during the rental are allowed subject to the availability of the motorcycle. Rain guarantee: on weekend rentals, when riding is not possible on a given day because of heavy or continuous rain, we offer free rental days as compensation.
5. Cancellation by PauTravelMoto
If, for reasons beyond the customer’s control, we cannot deliver the booked motorcycle or an equivalent one (breakdown, accident, force majeure), we refund all amounts paid in full. PauTravelMoto does not cover other customer expenses (tickets, accommodation, etc.).
6. Early return and changes during the rental
If the customer returns the motorcycle before the scheduled date, unused days are not refunded. Rental extensions are subject to availability and are charged at the current rate.
7. Returns and refunds
Customers are entitled to a refund when they cancel within the periods in section 4 and when PauTravelMoto cancels (section 5). Days not used because the motorcycle is returned early are not refunded (section 6).
- Refunds are made using the same payment method used by the customer: back to the card for card payments, or by bank transfer for transfer payments.
- They are processed within a maximum of 14 calendar days from the confirmation of the cancellation or the return of the motorcycle. How long it takes to appear in the account depends on the customer’s bank.
- Any bank charges generated by the refund (in particular for transfers to accounts outside the SEPA area) are deducted from the amount refunded.
8. Delivery and shipping
PauTravelMoto does not sell products that are shipped to a home address: the service is motorcycle rental, with collection and return at our handover points in Barcelona and Madrid. Delivery or collection of the motorcycle elsewhere (hotel, another city) is an optional service with an additional cost that is quoted before confirmation.
